Hourly to Annual Salary Calculator

Turn an hourly wage into yearly and monthly pay, then estimate what is left after UK tax, National Insurance and student loans.

Exclude unpaid breaks.

Include paid holiday. Do not subtract it from 52 if you are paid all year.

Assumes standard Personal Allowance and employee NI, with no pension or other deductions. If you are paid for fewer than 52 weeks, the net figure spreads the annual total across the year. Actual NI and loan deductions depend on each payday and can differ.

How to convert hourly pay to a salary

Multiply your hourly rate by your paid hours each week, then by the number of paid weeks. At £15 an hour for 37.5 hours and 52 paid weeks, gross salary is £29,250 a year, or £2,437.50 a month on average. Unpaid breaks do not count as paid hours.

Should I include paid holiday?

Yes. If you receive pay all year, use 52 paid weeks even though some are holiday. Subtracting paid holiday would understate your salary. If some weeks are unpaid, enter your expected paid weeks instead. This tool does not calculate holiday entitlement or add rolled-up holiday pay; use the total paid amount agreed in your contract.

Why might my payslip differ?

The net result is a 2026/27 annual planning estimate. Income Tax uses the standard Personal Allowance and its income taper. NI and student loans use annual thresholds; payroll applies pay-period rules and rounding. Irregular work or unpaid weeks can produce different deductions. Pension contributions, emergency tax, other income and benefits are not included. Monthly averages do not show when you receive the money.
